A high-speed collision involving a vehicle driven by a 21-year-old male resulted in the car crashing onto a residences balcony in Chino in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Authorities speculate that alcohol could have been a contributing factor in this crash.

The Mustang involved in the accident was travelling southbound on the 12600 block of San Antonio Avenue at a beyond normal speed. At approximately 12:22 a.m., the car hit a curb and the concrete side of the drainage canal, propelling the vehicle airborne and into a house.

The collision drove the Mustang into the second story of the residence, where it ultimately came to rest on the patio cover. Locals gathered to witness the aftermath— a severely damaged Mustang parked on a balcony.

A nearby resident who wished to remain anonymous described hearing a loud noise that caused her house to shake. She initially mused it to be an earthquake. The homeowner whos balcony was crash landed on described the sound like an airplane driving through her house.

The road where the incident took place is reportedly notorious for hosting drivers inclined to exhibit high-speed driving and engaging in risky maneuvers such as performing donuts.

All four occupants of the Mustang have been transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver, Jacob Torrez of Chino, is reported to be in serious condition. The three passengers, including a 19-year old and two minors, are also receiving medical attention. Authorities reiterated the possibility of alcohol playing a role in the crash but did not confirm if charges are being considered against Mr. Torrez.

Despite extensive damage to the house, no injuries have been reported among the residences occupants. The Chino Police Department is currently investigating the case and requests anyone with additional information or video footage to come forward by calling 909-334-3081.
