In an unexpected turn of events, a car ended up on the second-story balcony of a residential home in Chino, California early Tuesday morning. The preliminary reports suggest that the vehicle, identified as a Mustang, was moving at an excessive speed when it suddenly veered off the road, crashed through a fence, and landed in a riverbed, around 12:30 a.m.
It appears that the out-of-control car was initially traveling down San Antonio Street, a dead-end street situated across the wash, before launching onto the second-story balcony of the house, located in the 6000 block of Medford Court. This impacted the house significantly, causing heavy structural damage.
A video acquired by a news network, KTLA, reveals the aftermath, showing the wrecked Mustang precariously perched on the homes balcony as curious neighbors flock to witness the spectacle of the mishap. Investigators have yet to provide any updates on potential charges against the driver of the vehicle.
Local residents expressed their shock at the incident. One woman who resides in the adjacent street reported hearing a loud explosion-like noise, initially attributing it to an earthquake. Meanwhile, the resident of the home impacted by the crash was of the impression that an airplane had struck their house.
Andrea Kobzeff, the homeowner, noted that the street where the car allegedly lost control is notorious for drivers who engage in reckless activities such as high-speed driving and performing donuts. It is reported that the crash resulted in four people being transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries, although their conditions remain undisclosed. It has not been confirmed if any occupants in the house were injured due to the incident.
