A suspect, identified as Thuan Cong Duong, 30, has been taken into custody by Garden Grove Police for his involvement in an incident on Dec. 10. The episode unfolded in the 12200 block of Brookhurst Street, where the law enforcement had responded to reports of a disturbance shortly before 3 a.m.
Upon reaching the scene, the police found two victims – a severely injured 32-year-old woman and an unharmed 35-year-old man. The woman, who was found in a critical condition, reported that she had been intentionally run over by a vehicle. She was quickly transported to a hospital for necessary medical attention.
The vehicle implicated in the incident was found abandoned at the location. Subsequently, Garden Grove Police commenced investigations, leading to the identification of Thuan Cong Duong as the alleged perpetrator.
After preliminary investigations, on Dec. 17, Duong was apprehended and charged with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked into the Orange County Jail pending further investigations.
