A suspect was taken into custody after a police pursuit culminated in a motor accident in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and the California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports.

The incident commenced when officers from the North Hollywood Division of the LAPD attempted to intercept a suspect at approximately 2:52 p.m. The individual was wanted in connection with an unspecified crime, and a decision was made to instigate a pursuit.

Approximately two minutes later, the suspect was involved in a collision along Vanowen Street, located west of the 170 Freeway in Valley Glen. Footage captured from aerial coverage provided by Sky5 showed the suspects white SUV overturned near a utility pole.

Police reports indicate that following the car crash, the suspect exited the SUV and attempted to flee on foot. However, the individual was swiftly apprehended and retained by officers on the scene.
