An incident occurred in Southern Californias San Gabriel Valley, specifically in Temple City, where a small plane crashed into the backyard of a residence early Monday morning. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported in the event that took place shortly before 8 a.m. in the 4900 block of Arden Drive, approximately a mile west of the El Monte Airport. This information was disclosed by the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The plane involved in the crash was a single-engine aircraft which appears to have clipped trees and bushes before crashing on top of a brick wall. Its possible that contact was made with the house in the densely populated locale. Despite the scenario, views from Sky5 indicated that the house did not seem to suffer extensive damage.
Reports from Sky5 reporter, Rich Prickett, suggested that both occupants of the plane were able to exit the crashed vehicle. They were subsequently evaluated by paramedics at the scene. The exact cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
This incident follows another unfortunate occurrence that happened last Friday. In that case, a father and his teenage daughter were fatally wounded in a single-engine RV-10 aircraft crash in Fullerton.
