In an unexpected event, a small aircraft crash-landed on Victoria Golf Course, Carson, California on December 22, 2024. The two passengers on board survived with reportedly minor injuries, despite the potential severity of the incident. The crash remains under investigation, as the precise cause remains unknown.

The aircraft faced a malfunction near the driving range of the golf course around 3.45 PM, according to witness accounts. A sudden loss of power, possibly due to fuel exhaustion, was suggested as the cause for the unexpected descent. Bystanders, including golfer Richard Peters, observed the propeller coming to a halt before the craft landed.

Upon landing, the planes occupants—Presumably a couple—were able to extricate themselves from the wreckage with the help of golfers present at the scene. Footage of the crash site made available through the Citizen App depicts the overturned aircraft under a low-lying tree branch adjacent to a practice putting green. The pilot was reportedly the one who called for help after exiting the plane.

The crash site was subsequently cordoned off by the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department. A HAZMAT team was also dispatched to evaluate any potential hazardous leaks that could have resulted from the crash. Despite initial reports suggesting that the occupants of the aircraft had been hospitalized, updated reports clarified that they had been assessed and found to have no significant injuries.

Officials from the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the National Traffic Safety Board were among the agencies present at the scene to conduct investigations. No information about the aircrafts intended destination or point of departure was immediately available. Concurrently, the golf course seemed to be operating normally, and games continued even in close proximity to the crash site.
