A 19-year-old San Bernardino County resident, Jacob Vidana-Delgado, has been apprehended for allegedly operating an off-road vehicle recklessly in an intersection filled with children. The incident occurred near the intersection of Mojave and Alexandria Streets in Adelanto on a recent Friday evening around 5:30 p.m.

The Victor Valley Sheriffs Station reported that Vidana-Delgado was observed driving a Polaris off-road vehicle at unsafe speeds into the crowded intersection. Despite deputies efforts to pull him over, the suspect reportedly refused to comply, instigating a police chase. During the pursuit, Vidana-Delgado allegedly continued to accelerate, disregard public safety, and failed to halt at controlled intersections.

Officials report that Vidana-Delgado eventually returned to his home, with deputies tailing him. Upon reaching his residence, he was taken into custody without any further altercations. Charges against the 19-year-old include evading a peace officer with disregard for public safety and reckless driving on a highway. Following the incident, his off-road vehicle was towed away from the premises.
