On February 23, 2025, Upland Police were advised regarding a suspect in a stolen Ford F-150 truck. The suspect entered Upland city limits and attempted to evade arrest, leading the police on a pursuit when they tried to pull the vehicle over near Mountain Avenue and Arrow Highway.
The suspect, during the course of his dangerous pursuit, collided with multiple vehicles. His stolen Ford F-150 truck suffered damages due to these collisions. Aerial and bodycam footage acquired from the scene depicted the pursuit suspect, despite crashing into multiple vehicles, continued to drive recklessly, eventually running a red light.
Upon his arrival in a Jiffy Lube parking lot, the male suspect abandoned the damaged vehicle and attempted to abscond on foot. Police provided swift response and engaged in a foot chase, pursuing the suspect as he climbed fences and ventured into a nearby business establishment. He was subsequently surrounded and apprehended by law enforcement.
The victims involved in the vehicular collisions instigated by the suspect were transferred to local hospitals to receive treatment for their injuries. The police ended up arresting the suspect on multiple felony charges, including felony evading which resulted in injury. He is currently held on a bail amount totaling $1 million.
No additional details regarding the identity of the suspect or status of the victims were released due to the ongoing nature of the investigation. The police did, however, provide a blurred image of the arrested individual. Footage of the eventful pursuit is available for viewing above.
