On the evening of Sunday, December 1st, 2024, a police pursuit ended abruptly when the suspects vehicle collided with several other vehicles. The incident, which flared out in the Whittier area of Los Angeles County, specifically whilst attempting an exit from the 605 Freeway at Slauson Avenue, left multiple vehicles damaged. The chase ended shortly before 10 PM.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) was trailing the suspect northwards on the 605 freeway when the suspect attempted to exit, culminating in a collision. Video evidence shows the suspects vehicle colliding at the rear with another vehicle, resulting in damage to at least two other vehicles.

Following the incident, two people were moved from the scene via ambulance, including one suspect. An additional suspect was apprehended at the crash site. Absence of more detailed identification of all involved in the crash prevents further information from being disclosed. The reasons behind the initiation of the pursuit by the CHP remain undisclosed.
