In the early hours of Monday morning in the Mission Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, a motorist reportedly crashed their vehicle into a wall and fled on foot. The four-door pickup truck was said to have gone through the wall before coming to a stop in a backyard. The mishap took place shortly before 1 a.m. on Laurel Canyon Boulevard, in the vicinity of the 11300 block, close to Brand Boulevard.

According to reports from local residents, the sound of the crash drew them out of their homes. Upon inspection of the incident site, a small chihuahua was discovered in the vehicle, abandoned by the fleeing motorist. The concerned neighbors provided immediate comfort to the rescued canine by covering it with a blanket while awaiting the arrival of the police.

At the time of reporting, there was no available description of the hit-and-run driver. The Los Angeles Police Department is actively involved in the investigation of the incident that occurred on Dec. 2, 2024. The incident came to forth when a pickup truck was reported to have collided into a wall in Mission Hills.
