A motorcyclist was subjected to hospitalization after being hit by minibike riders traveling in the wrong direction in the Antelope Valley region on February 23. The incident occurred at noon, as reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The CHP had been alerted about rash and unlawful off-road vehicle and minibike activities posing endangerment to the public safety.

Antelope Valley had numerous officers dispatched to several locations, however, persons involved in these activities repeatedly evaded law enforcement. They continued to disregard traffic regulations and jeopardize the safety of innocent road users, according to the CHP statements.

Few hours later, at 3:35 p.m., the CHP officers reacted to a hit-and-run accident on Elizabeth Lake Road, near San Francisquito Canyon Road. A preliminary investigation by the CHP revealed that a pair of minibike riders were riding on the inaccurate side of the road, subsequently crashing into a Harley-Davidson motorbike rider. Both the riders involved in the accident subsequently fled the scene, leaving the victim suffering from serious injuries.

Investigations into the incident are currently underway with the law enforcement actively searching for the suspects. Assistance from the public is being sought in identifying and locating the riders involved. Captain Zagorski, Commander of CHP Antelope Valley, tweeted about the incident emphasizing that such reckless disregard for public safety will not be overlooked. The CHP is committed towards safeguarding the community and vowed an intensive effort to bring the accused to justice.
