A police chase ensued in downtown Los Angeles on a Monday night, involving two separate vehicles, a Kia Soul and a Kia Optima, that were reportedly stolen. Multiple suspects were involved in this high-speed pursuit, one of them was taken into custody, however, two others remain at-large.

The drivers maneuvered through surface streets before entering the northbound 101 Freeway from the 110 Freeway. California Highway Patrol officers joined the pursuit close to 11 p.m., following the suspects across various Southern Californian freeways and neighborhoods.

At one point during this dual-vehicle chase, the suspects in the white vehicle (the Kia Optima) were seen pulling over and transferring to the black vehicle (the Kia Soul). Despite this tactical switch, the pursuit continued.

In the vicinity of South Vermont and West 49th, at least three suspects abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. Aerial footage captured from Sky5 revealed one suspect attempting a daring escape by leaping over a fence and scrambling onto a roof. This individuals current status is unknown.

Another suspect, who failed to make it over the fence, was arrested at the scene. It remains uncertain whether the additional suspects have been apprehended at this time. Further investigation regarding this case is ongoing.
