A motorcycle rider is in an intensive care unit following a hit-and-run incident in Long Beach. On February 7, Long Beach police arrived at the accident scene around Pacific Avenue and 7th Street at 6:05 pm. The male motorcyclist was heading northbound on Pacific Avenue when a pickup truck moving westbound on 7th Street collided with him at the intersection, according to the local law enforcement.
The driver of the pickup truck, which is now suspected in the hit-and-run incident, failed to cease and assess the motorcyclists condition, proceeding to drive away from the scene. The vehicle is described as a newer model, black Chevrolet pickup truck with 4×4 decals on both rear-tire panels. Front-end damage is expected due to the collision. The pickup truck was caught on surveillance video on February 7, 2025, as confirmed by the Long Beach Police Department.
The investigators are yet to ascertain which vehicle had the right-of-way during the incident. The motorcyclist sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a local hospital in critical state.
