California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported an ongoing investigation into a shooting incident that happened in Compton, Los Angeles County on the evening of January 4, 2025. A woman was found inside a sedan at around 7:15 PM with a gunshot wound along the 14900 block of Stanford Avenue.
Upon discovery, the woman was quickly evacuated from the scene and taken to a nearby hospital to receive medical attention. As of the time of the report, her condition remains undisclosed, as is her identity. The authorities have promised to provide updates as the case unfolds.
Witnesses have reported seeing a black vehicle speeding away from the scene shortly after the incident. However, the CHP has not yet confirmed this detail as part of their official report.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting are not yet clear. The CHP is diligently working to piece together the series of events that led to the incident.
