A vehicle, a Mustang, was driven by a 21-year-old man which unexpectedly ended up on a residences balcony following a substantial crash in Chino, California early Tuesday morning. Local law enforcement authorities are suggesting that alcohol may have potentially been a contributing factor in the accident.

Preliminary reports imply that the Mustang was operating at a considerable speed when it lost control, smashed through a surrounding fence, and eventually careened into a riverbed at around 12:30 a.m. A subsequent press statement released by the Chino City officials approximately eight hours post crash corroborates the incident, specifying that the accident indeed occurred at 12:22 a.m. The vehicle was travelling southbound in the 12600 block of San Antonio Avenue when it happened.

The Mustang in question had struck a curb followed by the concrete side of a nearby drainage canal before it went airborne and eventually crashed into a residential property. Eye witness videos obtained by KTLA depict the aftermath of the incident, featuring the battered Mustang perched on the balcony of the house while curious neighbors gathered to observe.

A resident from a neighboring street reported hearing a loud boom causing her house to shake. The vehicle occupants consisted of the driver, Jacob Torrez, a 21-year-old local resident of Chino, and three other passengers of which, one individual was 19 years old and the remaining two were minors. Each of the car occupants were promptly transported to a proximate hospital for medical care and Torrez is stated to be in a serious condition.

No injuries were reported from the residents of the property despite the considerable damage sustained. The investigation of the crash is ongoing and witnesses with additional information or video footage are urged to contact the Chino Police Department at 909-334-3081.
