A traffic accident occurred on Monday in Orange County resulting in one fatality. The incident took place near Jamboree Road, south of Warner Avenue in Irvine, prompting a response from the Irvine police at approximately 1:35 am.
The victim of the collision, Joshua Kevin Soto, a 29-year-old man from La Habra, was driving a Hyundai Elantra in the wrong direction on the northbound lanes of Jamboree Road. This resulted in his vehicle colliding head-on with another car. As per the available data, Soto sustained severe injuries due to the impact of the collision and was immediately transported to a nearby medical facility. Unfortunately, Sotos injuries proved fatal and he passed away during treatment.
Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash sustained no injuries, according to the police report.
The factors contributing to the wrongful direction of Sotos vehicle remain uknown.
