A tragic incident happened on Halloween in the High Desert region of California when a three-vehicle crash led to one casualty, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriffs Department.

The event was reported to have occurred around 1:38 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 395 and Auburn Avenue, based in Adelanto. The responding officers identified the collision as involving three vehicles: a white Chevrolet Blazer, a blue Volkswagen Golf, and a semi-truck.

Investigations post incident revealed that the Chevrolet Blazer merged into the southbound lanes of Highway 395, sideswiping the Volkswagen Golf travelling in the same direction. This event caused both vehicles to cross into the northbound lanes, resulting in the Blazer colliding head-on with the semi-truck.

Other parties involved in the collision, namely the drivers of the semi-truck and the Volkswagen Golf, were determined to be uninjured by the authorities.
