A tragic accident took place in San Bernardino County on Sunday afternoon, resulting in severe consequences. A car crash resulted in the hospitalization of a 4-year-old boy, while sadly leading to the demise of the four other occupants of the vehicle.
Preliminary information provided by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) confirmed that the young boy was the single survivor of this devastating accident. The accident occurred at roughly 4:46 p.m. along the area of the eastbound Interstate 10, east of Riverside Avenue in Colton city.
The investigating officers found that a 2018-model Toyota Corolla was moving eastward when it veered off the road, impacting with a tree stump on the right shoulder. Due to the severity of the accident, the authorities present at the scene were unable to identify the four deceased victims immediately.
The boy, sustaining major injuries, was accordingly transported to the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. The four victims were later identified by the CHP, comprising of two individuals in their sixties (one male and one female) and two individuals in their thirties (one male and one female). Residences of the victims were not disclosed immediately.
