Furthermore, a SigAlert was issued at 7 a.m. for the closure of two southbound lanes, which was expected to remain in effect for approximately two hours, according to the CHP.

A fatal collision occurred on the 210 Freeway in Monrovia in the early hours of Sunday morning. A wrong-way driver, in a white sedan, was reported traveling east in the westbound lanes around 3:30 a.m. Multiple reports from law enforcement officials highlighted this dangerous driving behavior. Further observations from the CHP officers revealed the sedan eventually crashing head-on into a pickup truck near the Huntington Drive exit. Initially, the entire span of freeway was closed for management of the incident. However, as of 6:15 a.m., only the carpool (HOV) lane and lane number 1 (#1 lane) remained blocked off.

An incident involving a semi-truck has resulted in the partial closure of multiple lanes of the northbound 5 Freeway in Los Angeles County.
