A significant incident occurred earlier this week, when a four-door sedan crashed into a barber shop located in West Covina. The crash occured in the 4100 block of South Nogales Street in proximity to Valley Boulevard. Detailed surveillance footage depicts the chain of events leading up to the crash. The vehicle initially backed up, nearly colliding with a passing pickup truck. The car continued its forward motion after this near miss. The driver then, inexplicably, directed the car straight into the Above Barber Shops entrance.

The circumstances surrounding the crash were puzzling. The drivers side door of the sedan was open as the operator tried to control the car; however, a clear reason for the crash has not been identified. Notably, the barber shop was closed at the time of the incident, reducing potential casualties.

Post-crash images highlight the serious nature of the collision. The sedan appears extensively damaged, and the barber shop was signaled out as unsafe with a yellow tag due to structural damage. The damage caused to the barber shop was significant, with the structure suffering notable destruction. Despite this setback, the Above Barber Shop has successfully reopened and resumed operations since the incident.
