Honda, specifically the American Honda Motor Co.

, has issued a vehicle recall affecting select models of Hondas from 2023 to 2025. The recalled models include the 2023-2024 Honda Accord, Accord Hybrid, 2023-2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid and the 2025 Honda Civic and Civic Hybrid vehicles. The recall has been identified as Recall Number 24V763000.

The defect lies within the fuel system of these vehicles, specifically, the high-pressure fuel pump. Theres a risk that these fuel pumps may crack and leak fuel, a defect that can heighten the risk of fire if theres an ignition source present. In terms of safety and maintaining the trust of their customers, Honda has taken steps to notify and assist owners whose vehicles are affected by this defect.

Honda plans to mail out notification letters to vehicle owners starting December 4, 2024. The letter will inform owners of the recall and provide additional information on the next steps to be taken to rectify the situation.

Hondas approved remedy for this defect is to inspect and replace the high-pressure fuel pump, if necessary, in the affected vehicles free of charge. This is a part of Hondas effort to ensure the safety of its customers and uphold the reliability of their products.
