An unfortunate incident occurred in South Los Angeles on October 12, where a motorcyclist was struck and killed in a hit-and-run accident, as reported by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). The incident took place around 3 a.m., near the intersection of 92nd Street and South Broadway.
The LAPD officers were dispatched to the scene following reports of a downed motorcycle. The rider was found deceased at the location. The LAPD confirmed that a hit-and-run accident was registered in their system for this date and location.
While no details about the suspect vehicle have been divulged as yet, the department declared that additional information would be made available in due course. Media footage obtained by KTLA depicted the crash aftermath, with the police cordoning off the intersection and a severely damaged motorcycle seen on the roadway.
Numerous law enforcement officials, bystanders, and family members were present at the crash site. Heartbreaking scenes were witnessed as family members were seen mourning the loss of their loved one, visibly shaken by the tragic incident. The event occurred in close proximity to a local car club event.
