Late Sunday night, a collision involving a firefighter from Los Angeles County Fire Department and a motorist occurred at South Willowbrook Avenue and East 120th Street, shortly after 11 p.m. The firefighter was seen limping back to the station, which was approximately a block away, while the motorist was trapped inside a black sedan with considerable front-end damage.

Responding California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers confirmed the incident. They reported that the unidentified individual, who was trapped inside the vehicle, was successfully rescued and subsequently transported to a local hospital. The individuals condition remains unknown.

The LA County fire truck involved in the collision, as reported by freelance media firm OnScene.TV, also sustained damage to its front-end. However, both crew members were unharmed, managing to exit the damaged fire truck independently. The firefighter seen limping to the nearby station did not immediately report any severe injuries following the incident.

OnScene.TV reported this accident as the second collision on March 9, 2025, involving a sedan and a LA County fire truck, where at least one person ended up trapped in the vehicle.

A CHP spokesperson revealed that the person from the black sedan was taken into custody on unidentified charges. At this time, the cause of the collision is still under investigation. Updates regarding the incident will be released from the ongoing investigation.
