A tragic incident unfolded in Fullerton, California, on the afternoon of January 2, 2025, when a plane crashed into a warehouse, causing two deaths and injuring at least eighteen people. The crash occurred around 2:10 p.m. on the 2300 block of West Raymer Avenue, in the immediate vicinity of Fullerton Municipal Airport. The site of the accident was a commercial building, specifically a furniture manufacturing facility.

The first report of the incident classified it as a structure fire, suggesting the plane crash initiated a conflagration. Firefighters on the scene battled the blaze within the warehouse, as Sky5 video footage confirmed visual damage to the structure, notably a large hole in the roof and no visible plane remnants. In response to the situation, surrounding buildings were promptly evacuated.

Casualties and injuries were attended to by first responders on site. Around 2:40 p.m., The Fullerton Police Department reported casualties but could not immediately define the count. By 3:40 p.m., it was confirmed that nine individuals were conveyed to local hospitals for further treatment, while six people were given care on the spot and subsequently released. One fatality, presumably the pilot, was confirmed. As of 4:45 p.m., a second person was pronounced deceased, and additional injuries were reported, bumping the count up to 18, with one individual being rushed to the hospital.

Post-accident, videos captured on the Citizen App showed a large plume of smoke emerging from the site. Local authorities advised road users to avoid the area as several nearby roads were closed for emergency response and investigative activities. This accident mirrored a previous incident in November where two individuals had a narrow escape from serious damage in an accident near the same airport.
