Long Beach police are currently in search of a suspect involved in a hit-and-run incident that left a woman injured and hospitalized. The incident occurred on December 26 at around 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of California Avenue and San Antonio Drive.

The suspect, identified as a male, was reportedly driving eastbound on San Antonio Drive when he allegedly ran a red light and collided with the victims car. Police reports indicate he briefly exited his vehicle after the crash but returned and fled the scene shortly afterward.

Officers responded to the incident and discovered the female driver injured in her vehicle. She received immediate treatment at a local hospital. As of the latest report, the suspect remains at large.

The vehicle driven by the suspect is described as a tan-colored Toyota Avalon sedan. Notably, it incurred significant front-end damage documented in surveillance footage. Law enforcement agencies have released surveillance imagery of the said vehicle in an effort to gain any leads on the whereabouts of the suspect.
