A small aircraft crash landed onto a golf course in Carson, California. The incident occurred at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2024, at the Victoria Golf Course located at 340 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Details surrounding the circumstances of the crash remain limited. Officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department confirmed that they responded to reports of the downed aircraft.

Footage of the incident, recorded and shared via the Citizen App, shows the damaged plane positioned upside down, nestled under a low-lying tree limb just off a practice putting green. The immediate vicinity where the aircraft came to a stop was sectioned off with yellow tape by the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department.

Initial reports indicated that the two occupants of the aircraft were hospitalized following the crash. However, according to the Fire Department, no one was actually taken to the hospital. Officials stated that both individuals were assessed onsite and found to have no serious injuries. A HAZMAT team also responded to the crash site to investigate any potential hazardous leaks caused by the crash.

Debris, presumably parts from the aircraft, was found not far from the crash site. Interestingly, the golf course remained open for play, with golfers continuing their games close to the location of the incident, despite the ongoing investigation by first responders.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Traffic Safety Board have been notified of the incident. The number of passengers aboard the aircraft at the time of the crash is currently unknown.
