On Sunday, a small aircraft crash landed onto the Victoria Golf Course in Carson, California. Detailed circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear, and primary information sourced from the Los Angeles County Fire Department is limited.
Officials responded to the crash site at 340 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. around 3:45 p.m., after receiving reports of the downed plane. The damaged aircraft, apparently overturned, was identified beneath a low-lying limb of a nearby tree, near a practice putting green. The debris from the crash, presumed to be a part of the aircraft, was located not far from the main crash site.
The incident area was subsequently cordoned off with yellow caution tape by deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department, who were present at the crash site. Despite the unfolding investigation and first responder activities, the golf course did not appear to close as golfers in proximate vicinity continued their games.
While the total number of individuals aboard the aircraft at the time of the crash has not been confirmed, at least two people were conveyed to the hospital with minor injuries. These hospitalizations were confirmed by L.A County Fire, as relayed to the press.
The incident is currently under review and this record will be updated upon availability of extra details.
