An individual identified as Thuan Cong Duong, aged 30, has been arrested due to allegations of assaulting a woman with a vehicle in the Californian city of Garden Grove, according to official information provided by the Garden Grove Police Department.
The incident transpired on December 10, with police officers responding to disturbance reports originating from the 12200 block on Brookhurst Street shortly before 3 a.m. On reaching the reported location, officers located two victims – a 32-year-old woman, who suffered severe injuries, and a 35-year-old man, who was unharmed. The injured victim was immediately transported to a local hospital for treatment where she disclosed to law enforcement that she had been purposely struck by a vehicle. The car believed to be involved in the incident was discovered abandoned at the scene.
Following an investigation, detectives nominated Duong as the primary suspect. Subsequently, on December 17, Duong was arrested and admitted to the Orange County Jail, with charges of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
