A driver is currently in critical condition following a car accident which resulted in the vehicle landing in a wash in North Hills, as reported by the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) on Saturday evening. The LAFD confirmed that the accident transpired just before 5 p.m. at approximately 15100 West Parthenia St. Post-collision, the patients vehicle came to rest in the wash.
Initial reports indicated a requirement for an auto-extrication operation as it was believed the driver was trapped within the wash. However, upon arrival and assessment of the situation, the fire department crews found the driver was not trapped after all. They did, however, necessitate a litter basket operation to ensure the safe extraction of the driver from the wash.
The LAFD has since reported that the driver, seriously injured due to the nature of the accident, was successfully transported for further medical care. An additional adult male patient was evaluated for minor injuries.
Presently, details are sparse and the exact cause of the accident remains undisclosed. No immediate information is available regarding the condition or presence of the occupants of the other vehicle involved in the initial collision.
