A fatal incident occurred on Lake Perris, California on Wednesday afternoon when two personal watercraft collided, resulting in one death. The deceased individual is a 24-year-old woman from Highland, whose identity has not yet been revealed by authorities.
The collision, which took place around 2:15 p.m., caused both watercrafts to be deserted, leaving the two riders in the water. Nearby boaters acted swiftly to rescue the individuals from the water. Despite the lifesaving attempts that included administering Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to the woman from Highland, she was pronounced dead on the shore.
The second rider involved in the crash, whose identity is also undisclosed, declined to receive medical treatment following the incident. The authorities, as shared with the Press-Enterprise, are currently investigating the specific circumstances that led to the accident. The precise cause of the crash has not been established yet. It remains unclear if any charges will be filed in connection to the incident.
