In an incident that occurred early morning on Friday, a man was hospitalized following a serious car crash in Orange County, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The individuals vehicle crashed into a traffic signal pole at the junction of Modjeska and Still Night roads in Irvine.
The Irvine Police Department posted a photo on its official Instagram account illustrating the severe damage from the crash. The traffic signal pole was lodged nearly halfway through the vehicle involved in the single-vehicle accident.
The Irvine Police Department and their Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) partners were prompt to respond to the scene. The authorities swiftly rescued the driver from the severely damaged vehicle and ensured immediate medical transportation to a nearby hospital. The police confirmed that the driver sustained serious injuries from the crash.
