The California Highway Patrol (CHP) led a high-speed pursuit through West Los Angeles, which concluded with the pursued vehicle crashing into a residential property on Saturday night. The pursuit initiated on the northbound side of the 405 Freeway at around 9:45 p.m. near the Sepulveda Boulevard exit. The driver under pursuit was operating a burgundy sport utility vehicle (SUV) and failed to obey a yield sign, prompting the chase.

The SUV driver subsequently exited the freeway before merging into the southbound lanes of the 405. The chase continued until the driver exited at Culver Boulevard in Culver City. Shortly after their freeway exit, the SUV collided with a guardrail before ultimately crashing into a house.

There were four people inside the SUV when the crash occurred. First responders had to extricate these individuals from the wreck. Fortunately, no severe injuries were reported. It is currently unknown whether there were any individuals inside the residence during the incident.

In the aftermath of the collision, one of the passengers spoke with local news service OnSceneTV. This passenger expressed a genuine fear for their life during the incident. Reports confirm that police detained the SUV driver post-crash, but the three passengers were released. Authorities have not yet revealed why the police initiated the pursuit.
