A fatal collision occurred in Reseda, California, according to officials, leaving one 19-year-old male dead and another individual critically wounded. The accident was reported on Thursday morning along Sherman Way, just east of Corbin Avenue with reports indicating trapped victims in the wreckage.

The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed the incident stating that two individuals from the wreck required extrication. Among the victims, a 19-year-old male was unfortunately declared deceased at the scene of the incident. The other person, a 34-year-old male, suffered severe injuries and was immediately transported to a local hospital for medical attention.

The specifics of the incident detailed that both vehicles involved in the accident were traveling eastbound on Sherman Way. They reportedly lost control and subsequently crashed into trees along the roadway. Officer Miller from the Police Department revealed in an update that there was no current evidence suggesting that the vehicles were involved in a street race or that substances such as drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.

Additionally, details emerged of a third individual who was at the scene attempting to help extricate the victims prior to the arrival of the emergency services. This person too was transported to the hospital. Although the severity of their injuries remains unclear, the Fire Department stated in an update that no life-threatening injuries were sustained by the third individual.
