On October 25th, Adam Bouvet, a 50-year-old Southern Californian father, was fatally struck by an out-of-control vehicle, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and other local news sources. Adam was reportedly walking home from lunch with his wife and daughter in Dallas, Texas, where they had been visiting his eldest daughter and grandson. A driver lost control of their car, drove over the curb, and crashed into the Bouvet family.

Adam Bouvet reportedly pushed his family out of the way, taking the brunt of the impact instead. He suffered a traumatic brain injury and was transported to the intensive care unit (ICU) for emergency surgery. He died some days later due to his injuries. His wife Tracy was lightly injured, while their daughters and grandchild were unharmed.

Adam Bouvet, along with his wife Tracy, co-owned The Mill Restaurant in Murrieta, California for the past 17 years. Described as a well-known figure in his local community, Adams sudden departure left friends and family members in shock.

A variety of flowers, cards, and mementos have been placed outside The Mill Restaurant in his honor. Long-standing customers, family, and friends who knew Adam described him as a humorous, kind man with a giving heart.

Local restaurants are collaborating to raise funds to aid the family with medical and funeral expenses. A GoFundMe page to assist the Bouvet family has also been established, evidencing the impact Adam Bouvet had on his community, a sentiment echoed by his friend Brad Neet who referred to Adam as an absolutely special, phenomenal individual.
